Triangle T Ranch - Hotel Impossible Update - Open or Closed?

Hotel Impossible Triangle T Ranch

In this Hotel Impossible episode, Anthony Melchiorri visits Triangle T Ranch in Dragoon, Arizona.

Triangle T Ranch is owned by Linda Kelly.

The 11 room guest house is a extensive property.

Linda has lost a huge amount of money keeping the ranch afloat.

It is the second oldest ranch in Arizona so it has historic roots.

Anthony arrives and is confused by the many signs pointing in different directions.

He makes a guess on where to go, stopping at the first building.

Inside, there is no one to greet him.

The exterior of the building is worn and inside is no better as it looks abandoned.

He walks aimlessly about and there are more worn items and a smelly toilet.

Anthony finally finds the saloon and sees the first signs of life.

The bartender directs him to the front desk.

She admits that she gets a lot of guests come in who are lost.

The front office is at the back of the property.

There is a sign saying there is no one available and check-in is at the saloon.

He finally meets the front desk staff.

They greet him and want to take him to his room, leaving the office empty.

The room is not labeled properly, it looks put together but the bed spread is ugly.

He leaves and runs into Linda, who he sits down with in the saloon.

Linda tells him the rich history and that she cannot figure out how to make it profitable.

Anthony is sold on the concept and wants to help her.

Kaycee is brought in as the interior designer.

She is shown the empty front building which should be the front office.

The next morning, Anthony inspects the pool area and it has impressive natural rock formations.

The pool is dirty and there is mismatched, dirty furniture.

Anthony calls a staff meeting and learns the staff are mostly all less than a month in their jobs.

All of the staff have not been properly trained.

Anthony identifies training, guest experience and communication as the main problems.

Anthony checks in on Kaycee who is hard at work transforming the building.

He gives her the added task of upgrading the pool area.

Anthony looks at the activities they offer and decides they need one more: mountain biking.

They meet a service provider and they try it out.

While riding they come across an old movie set.

It is from when a popular western movie was shot on the grounds.

Anthony is shocked it is not a selling point for the ranch.

He gives Linda an assignment to put it front and center of their marketing.

Anthony is even more shocked to find out Linda is using the legendary movie set for storing junk.

He instructs her to preserve it.

After the mountain biking tour, Anthony checks in on the chef to cook a sample menu to test his skills.

He is shocked when he finds out Linda did not taste the chef's cooking when she hired him.

The chef makes a steak that Anthony loves, a tuna dish and a salad.

By day 3, work is still going well and Anthony checks in on Kaycee.

She wanted to leave the phone system for the owners to hook up after they leave.

Anthony explains the front desk is supposed to be functional and ideally constantly manned.

Anthony has brought in an expert in marketing to help Linda develop a plan.

The marketing expert Cindy has agreed to work with Linda for a month.

Linda has made a list of ‘Did you know’ facts ready for Anthony.

He is happy that she is excited to work on the hotel.

As for Linda’s poor screening of candidates for roles, he has a task for her interview for a new wrangler.

It is all going great until Linda misses a gap in his experience.

They find out that it is because of an incarceration.

She is lenient and Anthony corrects her before revealing the candidate is an actor.

On the final day Kaycee is implementing the last few changes.

Anthony calls a staff meeting and a group of tour agencies are coming in.

They have to ace it to boost their marketing.

The ‘Did You Knows’ are introduced to the staff.

Anthony checks on the welcome center and confirms the phone lines are working.

Linda is shown the new welcome center.

She is impressed and moved to tears of happiness.

There is a map on the wall of the ranch.

Linda meets Kaycee and hugs her.

They are taken to a party at the saloon to get the tour agency representatives for their tour of the ranch.

They are shown the redone room and the movie set before getting back to the saloon.

They all love the attractions and say they can use it to get guests in.

There is a surprise gift to Linda of a brand new website.

The party gets into full swing with the chef delivering food for the crowd.

A final surprise is a new flag for their flag post.
