MasterChef US Season 7

MasterChef US Season 7 aired June 01 to September 14, 2016 on Fox Network.

There were 20 contestants and the prize for the winner was $250,000, their own cookbook and a MasterChef trophy.

MasterChef US season 7 features MasterChef judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and a number of guest judges including Aarón Sanchez testing the culinary skills of amateur chefs from the USA.

They undertake a number of challenges and dishes to prepare, with those failing to impress being sent home.

Alejandro Toro Alejandro Toro was a Voice Over Artist from Miami, Florida.

He was eliminated in episode 9 after his triple layer birthday cake landed him in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, Alejandro is a photographer and film maker.

He is a voice over artist and has done the voice over for the Spanish Southpark episodes.

He is also a food vlogger and has done several cookery demonstrations and events.

Alejandro owns his own production company Toro Productions.

He hosted digital series The Good Truck and had two shows syndicated on Amazon Prime.


Andrea Galan Andrea Galan was a Student from Miami, Florida.

She was eliminated in episode 10 after being disqualified from a sausage making pressure test for serving her sausages seconds too late.

After MasterChef, Andrea briefly returned to her previous role as a talent scout.

Andrea moved to Barcelona and worked at three Michelin star restaurant ABAC Restaurant as a Stagier.

Andrea was the winner of Chopped season 24 episode 9.

She has opened restaurants in Spain called Bar Lola and L'Espai.

Andrea has plans to open another in 2025 called Roqueta Mar.


Barbara Savage Barbara Savage was an Investigator from Denver, Colorado.

She was eliminated in episode 4 after landing in the bottom five during the MasterChef special wedding episode.

After MasterChef, Barbara was a Pasta Chef.

She had to leave the position due to a wheat allergy.

Barbara runs a catering business.

She also teaches gluten-free culinary classes in Wholefoods stores.


Brandi Mudd Brandi Mudd was an Elementary School Teacher from Irvington, Kentucky.

Brandi was a MasterChef season 7 runner up.

After MasterChef, Brandi quit her role as a teacher to join the MasterChef cruise, where she was crowned the champion.

She also took part in the MasterChef Camp.

Brandi started Southern Flair with Chef Brandi, a catering business.

She returned for MasterChef: Back to Win (season 12)


Brittany Craig Brittany Craig was a Server from New Hartford, New York.

She was eliminated in episode 5 after landing in the bottom three of a pie elimination challenge.

After MasterChef, Brittany was a Private chef offering private dining experiences.

She was an amateur power lifter and a dog sitter.

Brittany offers meal prep services and healthy lifestyle coaching.


Cassie Peterson Cassie Peterson was a Bakery Clerk from Clear Lake, Iowa.

She was eliminated in episode 3 after a potato themed Mystery Box challenge.

After MasterChef, Cassie started is a Private Chef at Nameless Gourmet.

She also launched a meal delivery and catering company called Gourmet To-Go.

In August 2017, she opened a bakery called Bread & Buttercrème in Iowa but this closed less than 2 years later in July 2019.


DAndre Balaoing D'Andre Balaoing was an Engineer and Model from Lexington, Kentucky.

He was eliminated in episode 8 after an offal elimination challenge saw him in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, D'Andre returned to studying for his MBA.

He worked at Scarpetta, Las Vegas as a Pastry Chef .

D'Andre was a brand ambassafor for hef wear company True Cooks.

In 2020, he was a chef for Richard Branson's cruise line Virgin Voyages.

D'Andre is a baker and creates custom cakes.


Dan Paustian Dan Paustian was a Server from Charlotte, North Carolina.

He was eliminated in episode 16 after an ingredient swap during an elimination challenge lands him in the bottom two.

After MasterChef, Dan is is owner and chef at his company Flavor City Catering.

Dan is also a food vlogger, freelance stand up comedian and TV writer.

He is an actor and has appeared in shorts and TV series'.


David Williams David Williams was a Professional Poker Player from Las Vegas, Nevada.

David was a MasterChef season 7 runner up.

After MasterChef, David continued to be a professional poker player.

He is also a professional Magic the Gathering card player.

It is believed that he has won more than $8million from card games during his career.


Diamond Alexander Diamond Alexander was a Web Designer from San Diego, California.

She was eliminated in episode 11 after a Korean bibimbap elimination challenge landed her in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, Diamond returned to her previous role in web design.

She is also a blogger.

Diamond is currently working at AdvicePay as a Product Designer.


Diana Bilow Diana Bilow was a Server from Plainfield, Illinois.

She was eliminated in episode 8 after an offal elimination challenge landed her in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, Diana returned to her previous role as a server at RPM Steak.

Alongside this she was a Personal Chef until later stepping away from the industry.

Diana was also a dog walker and offered private dining experiences until June 2022.

She has married and is now called Diana Bilow-Smith.

Diana now works in digital marketing.

She is currently Digital Marketing Manager at Direct Clicks.


Manny Washington Jr Manny Washington Jr was a Fireman from Orlando, Florida.

He was eliminated in episode 7 after a fried chicken pressure test landed him in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, Manny returned to his previous role as a fireman, where he is now District Chief.

Manny is also a firehouse chef at his firehouse.

He also offers cookery classes, pop up dinners and private chef services..

In 2018, Manny finished in third place on Food Network Star season 14.

In 2021, he released a cookbook called Put Some Flames on Em!

Manny had previously appeared on Cutthroat Kitchen.


Eric Howard Eric Howard was a Fireman from Queens, New York.

He was eliminated in episode 13 after a three part skills test saw him pitted against Katie in a gnocchi cook off.

After MasterChef, Eric returned to his role as a FDNY Firefighter.

He also worked at Gramercy Ale House NYC as a chef, before later becoming a partner.

Eric finished third in The Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge on Food Network.

Eric is currently a private chef offering private dining experiences and events and a food consultant.


Katie Dixon Katie Dixon was a Fitness Trainer/Retail Associate from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

She was eliminated in episode 15 after a three chocolate dessert challenger landed her in the bottom three.

After MasterChef, Katie appeared on Food Network Star Season 14.

Kate is a private chef, Precision Nutrition Coach and personal trainer.

In 2017, she opened award winning restaurant Birdhouse Café in Hattiesberg and reviews are positive.

In 2021, Kate released cookbook Be Nourished.

Kate offers meal prep, cooking classes and event catering.


Lisa-Ann Marchesi Lisa-Ann Marchesi was an Insurance Manager from Gillette, New Jersey.

She was eliminated in episode 6 after a lobster tortellini elimination challenge landed her in the bottom two.

After MasterChef, Lisa-Ann returned to her previous role as a teacher.

Lisa-Ann was active on social media, sharing photographs of her food.

In 2018, she launched Bella D’ Oliva, who sold olive oil.

Lisa worked at NFP where she was Vice President..

In 2021, she was on You, Me & My Ex on TLC.


Nathan Barnhouse Nathan Barnhouse was a Tuxedo Salesman from Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

He was eliminated in episode 14 after a picnic basket tag team challenge lands him in the bottom two.

After MasterChef, Nathan completed a degree in theature after returning to college.

He has appeared in local theatre shows.


Shaun O'Neale Shaun O'Neale was a DJ from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shaun was the MasterChef season 7 winner due to his halibut, venison and salted caramel dishes impressing the judges.

After MasterChef, Shaun released "My Modern American Table: Recipes for Inspired Home Cooks", his first cookbook.

He has hosted several cookery demonstrations and pop up dining events.

During lockdown, he and other MasterChef winners did online cookery classes.

In 2020, Shaun became co-owner of The Blind Pig.

In 2021, Shaun opened Larrea Las Vegas.

He was the Executive Chef until January 2022.

In 2024, Shaun opened Three Thirty Three Restaurant, where he is Executive Chef.


Tanorria Askew Tanorria Askew was a Credit Union Coordinator from Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was eliminated in episode 17 after a three pork dish cook off with David.

After MasterChef, Tanorria returned to her private chef company, that she ran alongside a fulltime role.

Due to her popularity on MasterChef she was able to Tanorria's Table full time.

Her company offers public speaking, consulting, cookery demonstrations and private catering.

Tannoria appeared at the MasterChef Camp.

She had regular cookery segments on local television stations in Indiana.

In 2021, Tannoria released cookbook Staples + 5: 100 Simple Recipes to Make the Most of Your Pantry.


Terry Mueller Terry Mueller was a Handyman from Long Island, New York.

He was eliminated in episode 12 after a canned salmon dish landed him in the bottom two.

After MasterChef, Terry returned to his previous role as a contractor and did a number of cookery events.


Bill Travers Bill Travers was Retired and from Pauma Valley, California.

He was eliminated in episode 3 after being in the bottom two of an elimination challenge of recreating one of Gordon's signature dishes from taste alone.

After MasterChef, Bill appears to be enjoying his retirement out of the spotlight.
